Otis, Kansas - Population 311 (2006 est.) is a friendly small community located in Rush county. This is central Kansas and that means big open spaces. Not to say that this is a hick town. In reality it's a bedroom community for the larger communities of Great Bend (15 minutes), Hays (35 minutes), Russell (30 minutes), Hoisington (10 minutes), Larned (45 minutes) and La Crosse (15 minutes).
